Cistermúsica Sacra

PRESENTation

During the Easter period, Cistermúsica Sacra offers sacred choral music to the Alcobaça region, which is so rich in religious heritage.

The activity is divided into two moments of training and public presentation — the Advanced Workshop and the Liturgical Workshop. The first is aimed at university students and professional musicians and the Liturgical Workshop is aimed at members of liturgical choirs, both of which are guided by renowned choral directors with in-depth knowledge of liturgical practice.

Alongside the training activity, which takes place in churches in the region and culminates in the performance of the participating choir members, there are also educational talks and concerts open to the community.
