On the occasion of the centenary of Gabriel Fauré's disappearance in 2024, Trio Pangea takes us to cross the language of the French master with that of Portuguese composers. Coloured by modernism at the dawn of the 20th century, songs by Luiz Costa and Armando José Fernandes, both composed in 1937, find in Gabriel Fauré a source of harmonic and formal inspiration and each offers us works of great musical depth. As for the young Portuguese composer Tiago Derriça, it is with a very personal and colourful light that he composes his Homenagem a Gabriel Fauré trio, a new work commissioned in 2024 by Trio Pangea and inspired by the music of one of the essential creators of French music.

A Musical Trilogy: Fauré amongst Wines and Flavours

Next Thursday we suggest a unique and complete experience in the singular atmosphere of the Alcobaça Wine Museum.
It will be a late afternoon with a tasting of the region's wines and gastronomy, followed by a recital (piano, violin and cello) in honour of the French composer by the Pangea Trio, in the heart of the Balseiros winery.
A tribute in two movements, combining the classical music of Gabriel Fauré with the region's gastronomic and wine heritage, in a venue of great patrimonial value.
