Sonas Quartet
Works by N. Paganini, I. Stravinsky and R. Schumann
The “Sounds of Change” project aims to develop an integrated professional development process for young and emerging musicians from Europe, focussed on the orchestral and chamber contexts. The central aim is to provide a significant increase in professional opportunities, career visibility and international mobility for the participants. The project is based on a multidisciplinary artistic process that incorporates key themes related to the environment and sustainability.
The Sonas Quartet, among several groups, was selected to take part in the Chamber Music Festival in Koblenz last year, where it had the opportunity to collaborate with internationally renowned musicians such as Benedict Kloeckner, Philip Tondre and Anna Fedorova. As part of their journey, the quartet will be touring Portugal in October where, in addition to the current Fronteiras Cistermúsica programme in Alcobaça, they will be performing at the FIMUV Festival in Santa Maria da Feira.
