Sunrise Mass, the main work of this concert, set the tone for a varied line-up with different influences. Written for choir and string ensemble, Sunrise Mass takes us on a journey through the divine, the earthly, the tangible and the intangible, in a perfect confluence of classical influences and film music.
Female music is also present in this line-up, where the 19th century intersects with our time, where Mendelssohn's work for female voices, Veni Domine, and I See the Heaven's Glories Shine, written by the American composer Andrea Ramsey and with a poem by Emily Brontë, converge.
