About Cistermúsica
Organised by ABA - Banda de Alcobaça Arts Association, with the support of the Portuguese Directorate-General for the Arts, Cistermúsica presents an annual season with some of the best performers on the national and international scene.
In 2019, Cistermúsica became a member of the European Festivals Association (EFA), the leading and longest standing platform for arts festivals in Europe.
Before that, in 2015, the EFA awarded Cistermúsica the EFFE "Remarkable Festival" label, a distinction granted for the artistic quality, as well as its involvement with the community and international openness.
