Cistermúsica gives the Carte Blanche to Marina Camponês: the young flautist presents herself in the churches of Pataias and São Martinho do Porto on 27 and 28 July as the latest winner of the Young Musicians Award
Once again, following a strong line of decentralization, Cistermúsica, the Alcobaça Music Festival takes Marina Camponês, one of the most talented flautists of her generation, to the two of most important churches in the Municipality of Alcobaça: July 27, Wednesday, and July 28, Thursday, always at 9:30p.m., the Parish Churches of São Martinho do Porto and Pataias respectively welcome the winner of 2010 Young Musicians Award in the category of flute (upper level).
The young artist, born in Leiria, and also teacher at the Alcobaça Music Academy, receives Carte Blanche from Cistermúsica, presenting herself to the public with Joana Bagulho (harpsichord) and the works of M. Marais, J. S. Bach, J. G. Müthel, G.P. Telemann, S. Karg-Elert, C. Debussy, E. Bozza and L. Liebermann, in concerts that will have free entry.
Marina Camponês was born in Leiria in 1986 and began his musical studies at the Sociedade Artística Musical 20 Julho de Santa Margarida Arrabal at the age of 12. She was later admitted at the Orfeão de Leiria in the class of João Pedro Fonseca, where she was honored several times in the contest “Best Student”. She is a member of the contemporary music ensemble XX/XXI with which participated in the Festival Música Viva and completed a bachelor’s degree at the Escola Superior de Musica de Lisboa, in 2007, in the flute class of Anthony Pringsheim and Chamber Music in the classes of Olga Prats and Nuno Inácio.
