Cisterdança is the latest section of Cistermúsica – Alcobaça Music Festival, one of the innovations planned for the next edition of the festival that once again follows the multidisciplinary trend revealed that the festival has promoted in recent years. Having as main objective to provide formation at the most various levels and among diverse audiences (audience, professionals and students), Cisterdança tries to be not just a strong bet at the intersection of different arts and several forms of artistic expression, looking still to establish a profound relationship with professionals and potential audiences.
Within Cistermúsica’s programming, this section will be distributed in two sub-sections: National (based on presentation of a creative and innovative project, as a world premiere, made by commission or by submitting a proposal, presented by professional and students of music and dance) and Education (stimulates the exchange of ideas between official schools, promoting the presentation of their work and encouraging the holding of several training sessions with students and their schools at national level).
