Integrating the “Child and the Environment Feast”, an initiative organized by the Municipality of Alcobaça, between 1 and 6 June, under the theme “Music and the Forest”, Mercoalcobaça welcomes, next day June 6, at 6:00p.m., the Final of the 4th Edition Songs Contest of the Municipality of Alcobaça Elementary Schools.
This is an initiative organized by the Alcobaça Music Academy, in partnership with the Municipality, held since the academic year 2007/2008 – an ambitious work in which participate all students enrolled in the Activities of Musical Curricular Enrichment and Musical Expression of five group schools (more than 2000 students).
The Songs Contest of the Municipality of Alcobaça aims to create habits of performance, promoting interdisciplinarity among students and to promote a contact with the stage in its various aspects (musical, artistic, dramatic and movement). After a series of heats held in March, the three best performances of each group were selected to act in the final of the contest, included in Cistermúsica’s section Junior and Families, where the winner will be determined.
